The weather was perfect for a fall outing last night and our dual destinations did not disappoint! In Monroe, Spooky’s Fright Night punched above its weight class with a mixture of interactive scenes and a cast of actors who know how to have fun. The makeup and costumes both sold the theme well and served the prevailing storyline. We concluded our introduction to this most peculiar family when the excitable Dr. Croww, with the help of a patient, delivered an unexpected jolt!
It was then onward to Bowling Green where Distracted Haunted House awaited our arrival, situated as it were, at the end of an eerily desolate shopping mall. The setting made the Dawn of the Dead vibe undeniable as we enjoyed the queue line entertainment.
Once inside, we were transported to a realm ensnared by a mysterious force known as Nightmarian! The creatures who dwelt therein were legion and possessed a knack for up close and personal scares! Distracted was a claustrophobic trek through homespun, surreal strangeness that exuded an old school charm, and I was enamored.
