Nightmare Realm Attacks Post-Halloween Blues with Project Jingle Hell

Christmas-themed haunts are growing in popularity.

Yes, the haunt season has officially come to an end. If you’re anything like me, you’ve begun to slide into that post-Halloween funk that arrives annually like it gets paid to be punctual. As we barrel toward Turkey Day, mainstream America has already fast-forwarded to the holiday season, and well, at least one haunted attraction has followed suit. That’s right, Nightmare Realm has transformed into Project Jingle Hell for one night only, and ladies and gentleman, that night it tonight!

It’s a bit of a conflict of interests for us lovers of Halloween, isn’t it? We adore the spooky season and abhor any attempt by Christmas to encroach on our territory. The period of time between Halloween and Thanksgiving is an odd and interesting interregnum — a chance to reflect but also mourn. Personally, I need that timeframe to decompress before the breakneck pace of the holiday season, and yet, well I can’t help but be excited about the growth in popularity of Christmas-themed haunted attractions.

Project Jingle Hell will see Cypress Hollow play host to a battle of wills between Santa and a trickster named Trista. Can Santa’s curiously rebranded HELLves defeat the Creatures of the Realm or will the enigmatic spiral continue to spread?! Folks, I legit have no earthly clue! Billed as a “story driven haunt experience” with “acclaimed actors and interactive sets,” Nightmare Realm’s Project Jingle Hell has kicked off the holiday spook show by throwing down the gauntlet in mid-November.

Project Jingle Hell will be presented tonight from 6:30 – 10p. Nightmare Realm is located at 23492 Red Arrow Highway, Mattawan, Michigan. For more information click the link: Nightmare Realm
