Devil’s Night — an evening of anticipation and mischief. It is the final rise and fall of the moon before the arrival of Halloween. This is a special night all its own, and as such we observe its passing. How do spend such an evening? Well, there’s no shortage of options.
A number of haunted houses are open for those seeking thrills, and indeed I’ve found myself at many over the years on this mysterious eve. It seems a fine night too to snuggle up with a favorite horror movie — Halloween and Night of the Living Dead come to mind most readily for yours truly. Then again, some spiked apple cider and horror comics may remedy what ails you.
