Mayday! Mayday! An Emergency Missive from Ohio!!

Ghoul Brothers, Chippewa Lake Slaughterhouse scorch the scene.

Some nights of haunting leave one shook, rattled as if what you experienced was a vibrant and surreal dream. Such instances are rare and made even rarer the longer you hit that open road in search of that next great haunt fix. Last night was an occasion that delivered this elusive magic.

The Ghoul Brothers House of Horrors was as colorful, chaotic, and immersive as perhaps any attraction we’ve ever toured. From beginning to end, each area and every room was decorated and distressed to an extreme degree. The cast was plentiful, energized, and lurked in every shadow and crevice. The good nurse, Ms. Ivy Drip even took special care to prescribe yours truly a first of its kind head transplant!

Next, we traveled beneath an inky sky, down rural routes to the Chippewa Lake Slaughterhouse! The much-ballyhooed Karver Family lived up to their reputation and delivered an expertly-themed attraction that delivered the creeps like few attractions before it. The whole aesthetic was a masterstroke in tone and consistency, the large, open spaces an assault on the human psyche.
