The final Saturday of the Halloween season is generally considered to be the zenith for haunted attractions. We here at Horrorlust shall observe this great day when we embark on yet another, late-night adventure to the Buckeye State!
The evening will conclude with a much anticipated visit to Chippewa Lake Slaughterhouse! The attraction is housed in a legitimate, former meat-carving facility; so there should be atmosphere and intrigue in spades. Will the Karver Family slice John and I into choice meats or can the boys of Horrorlust slip through their piggy, little hands?!
Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper night of haunting without a second location on our radar, and that honor goes to the Ghoul Brothers of Akron, Ohio! This attraction has received high praise from a witch’s cauldron of publications since first being conjured onto the scene in 2018. As added incentive, Ghoul Brothers announced yesterday via social media that this will be the final year at its current and original location.
As it is Saturday, we have the luxury of hitting the road especially early and that will be key as our destination lies some 3 hours from our humble hometown. But such a start may just offer us the opportunity for a third attraction. Shall we make a return to the beloved Bloodview, tour the much hyped Nightmare Cleveland, or find something off the beaten path?
