Chainsaw Creek was a multi-attraction venue held in the parking lot of the Franklin Park Mall in Toledo, Ohio. Pictured below, is an ad for Chainsaw Creek from the 2006 Fear Finder. As you can see, that season featured three separate attractions — The Butcher Shop, Haunted Prison, and something ominously titled The Black Hole.
This haunt had the unfortunate distinction of a very marketable name, but a location that offered little to no ambience. We visited once in 2008 and did enjoy the offerings — that season, Chainsaw Creek had four attractions — Asylum, Black Swamp, Carnevil (3D attraction), and County Morgue.
Each attraction was situated inside of a tent that used a combination of wood panels and/or facade to enclose the structure. As you can imagine with such a setup, the attractions were brief, lasting no more than five minutes each. I recall that Asylum was utterly forgettable, while Carnevil and Black Swamp were enjoyable; County Morgue was easily the main attraction and the one we enjoyed the most.

Haunt Season Hits Stride at Chainsaw Creek
Unfortunately, Chainsaw Creek ceased to operate following the 2009 season, despite a multiple year effort to keep the haunt afloat while in search of a new location. A Facebook page for Chainsaw Creek does still exist; the final post was made in 2015. The Toledo area used to sport a handful of haunted houses, but none now operate there to the best of my knowledge.
