Erwin Orchards ceased operations back in 2022 when the orchard and cider mill were sold to Blake’s Farms. It had been run by multiple generations of the same family for over a century, and for roughly 40 years of its history, it also boasted haunted attractions — a haunted cornfield and the main attraction, Barn of Horrors!

I had the pleasure of visiting the attraction just once, on a dreary night that would go on to be remembered as one the best outings of the 2012 season. Unfortunately, the attractions were shuttered several seasons later and never resumed. For those interested, you can enjoy my review of that 2012 journey with this link: Elements Conspire but Erwin, Slaughter House Persevere

The ad above was featured in the 2014 edition of the Fear Finder and as you can see in the lower, right-hand corner of the photo, customers received a free donut and cider, and I can vouch for the tastiness of those warm treats. In my opinion, there’s nothing quite like a barn haunt on an orchard; this attraction is missed.
